ASELSAN has signed new agreements with the Presidency of The Republic of Türkiye Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB), adding to its ongoing air defence serial production projects, with a total value of EUR 1,122,139,260. Deliveries are scheduled between 2027 and 2030. ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol emphasized that the contract strengthens Türkiye’s layered air defence capabilities and demonstrates confidence in field-proven solutions. He stated that the company will continue advancing the “ÇELİKKUBBE” (Steel Dome) program to enhance the operational power of the Turkish Armed Forces.
The agreements cover a range of multi-layered air defence systems designed for integration with both land and naval platforms. These systems include SİPER, HİSAR‑O, HİSAR‑A, GÖKDENİZ, and KORKUT.
SİPER, developed jointly by Roketsan, ASELSAN, and TÜBİTAK SAGE, is a high- to medium-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system capable of engaging aircraft, cruise missiles, air-to-ground missiles, and UAVs. Fleet-level equipment includes a Fleet Control Centre and Search Radar, while battery-level assets feature Fire Control Centres, Fire Control Radars, Missile Launch Systems, and Class-type Training Simulators. SİPER 1 intercepts targets over 100 km and up to 20 km altitude, while SİPER 2 reaches 150 km and 30 km altitude, supporting vertical and slant firing with multi-target and multi-radar engagement capabilities.

HİSAR systems provide short- and medium-range defence. HİSAR‑A(+) is a low-altitude system mounted on FNSS ACV‑30 chassis with four vertical launchers, a short-range surveillance radar, and EO/IR sensors. Its operational range spans 2 km to over 15 km, with altitudes between 30 m and 8+ km. HİSAR‑O(+) covers medium altitudes on a Mercedes-Benz Zetros chassis, reaching 25+ km (RF-guided: 35+ km) and altitudes up to 15 km, with Mach 2 engagement speed.

GÖKDENİZ is a naval close-in weapon system that protects host ships against anti-ship missiles and other threats using 35 mm programmable fragmentation (ATOM) rounds. It integrates stabilized gun turrets, fire-control radar, EO sensors, 3-D search radar, and Combat Management Systems for fully autonomous operation. The dual-barrel 35 mm KDC-02 gun fires 1,100 rounds per minute, while the Automatic Continuous Ammunition Feed Mechanism enables simultaneous loading of programmable and HEI rounds, selecting the appropriate munition for each target.
KORKUT is a 35 mm self-propelled anti-aircraft gun system designed to replace aging M42A1 Duster systems. Each system includes one command-and-control vehicle and three weapon platforms equipped with twin 2×35 mm Oerlikon KDC-02 cannons. The system fires up to 1,100 rounds per minute to ranges of 4 km, and the command vehicle provides radar coverage up to 70 km. Based on the FNSS ACV‑30 chassis, all KORKUT vehicles are fully amphibious, capable of operating in deep water and rivers.

These agreements highlight Türkiye’s commitment to modernizing its air defence architecture and enhancing multi-layered protection across all branches of the armed forces.
